No-Bake Candy Cane “Oreo” Balls

Vegan Oreo Balls Recipe

You’ve heard all about A Vegan Holiday, right? We’re so excited to be running this alongside Morsels and Moonshine! We hope you guys are busy baking the holidays away – so much fun! Here at the Friendly Fig, we wanted to share some of our favorite holiday cookie recipes. We have officially dubbed this week Vegan Christmas Cookie Week! We’re starting with Candy Cane Oreo Balls, and this recipe is dangerously easy. Yes, dangerous.

Break our your stretchy pants and get ready to eat your holiday heart out.

Have you heard of Oreo Balls? If not, I feel so sad for you – but only for a moment, because now you have the recipe and now you can stuff your face with these things. You’ll be eating them like popcorn. Oops.

Also, before we dive in. I put quotations around “Oreo” because I did not actually use Oreos this time around. I usually do! HOWEVER, TRADER JOE’S HAD THESE BAD BOYS WAITING FOR ME AT THE STORE:

I could have cried of happiness. I ate a sleeve in one sitting while binge watching Gilmore Girls. It wasn’t pretty. I used the remainder in this recipe. So feel free to use these or plain ‘ol Oreos – BOTH AMAZING!!

The Recipe

You will need:

Yeah, that’s all you need.

Step 1: Crush Cookies

I tossed mine in a ziplock bag and beat it like Michael Jackson. You could probably use a Magic Bullet or processor, too. Put in a bowl and add your 1/2 tub of vegan cream cheese.

Step 2: Mix with Hands

Take off your rings, because it is about to get messy. CAUTION: You may want to eat batter with hands. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t lick my fingers once or twice. Like Daryl:

Okay, now that I’ve blacked out a little. Should look like this:

Step 3: Roll ‘Em Up

Roll into 1-inch balls and dip in sugar of your choice. Get all festive in this bitch.

Step 5: Freeze and Eat Like Popcorn

Line a baking sheet (MAKE SURE IT FITS IN YOUR FREEZER!) with foil and freeze for an hour. You can store the ones that don’t make your binge session in the fridge!

By God… this bad boys are sinful. Wait until you see what else we have in store this week. I’ll give you a hint: Speculoos. xx Bianca
