Bianca’s 10 Cruelty-Free Winter Skin Essentials

Cruelty-Free Winter Skin Products

If you live in an area where snow IS TAKING OVER YOUR LIFE, you know what it’s like to suffer from winter skin. Newsflash to all those enjoying the warm weather: It’s fucking freezing over here. And our skin is taking the beating of its life. Fortunately, there are a ton of cruelty-free products that can help with this disaster.

So without further adieu, here are my top 10 favorite winter skin essentials. Or in other words, my favorite LUSH products with a few other products sprinkled in. #SorryNotSorry

#1: Love Lettuce Face Mask by LUSH. On the website, it is described as “a lavender and almond love letter to dull, flaky skin.” I don’t think I could sum it up any better than that. Smells wonderful, feels wonderful, and is cruelty-free. Get your lettuce love affair on.

#2: Yes To Carrots Super Rich Body Butter. Body butter… mmmm, it just sounds seductive. Slather it on, you sexy beast.

#3: Burt’s Bees Therapeutic Bath Crystals. Soothe those tired muscles and soak that dry skin. We all need some alone time – and by alone time, I mean You + Burt.

#4: Dream Cream Body Lotion by LUSH. Troubled winter skin? Not when you moisturize with this baby. It really is a dream. Lather up and try not to eat it like frosting.

#5: Peppermint Moisturizing Cream Shave by Avalon Organics. If you’re one of those girls who still shaves during the winter months, this shaving moisturizer is great. Smells like winter, and nourishes. If you’re one of those girls who shaves once a week or dare I say, even less than that… well, you will be saving money by using it sparingly. Pits are one thing, legs are another. #NoJudgementZone

#6: Mineral Therapy Mud by Avani. Honestly, never thought I would be so excited to cover myself in mud. Just do it.

#7: Butterbear Bath Bomb by LUSH. You don’t take your teddybear to the tub with you? Oh, that’s unfortunate. I take mine, in the form of this killer bath bomb. Perfect for dry winter skin (the cocoa butter locks in dat moisture ya skin craves), and the scent is cozy as hell. So come on, no one is going to judge you for taking your bear to the bath. #Truth

#8: Yes To Coconut Head-To-Toe Restoring Balm. Dry elbows and knees and hands, oh my! This is where the nightmare known as cracking skin happens, folks. Fortunately, this balm is the answer to your prayers. Did I mention that it smells like you’re on a tropical island?

#9: Pineapple Grunt Soap Bar by LUSH. I mean, don’t you want to take a vacation from winter? Not everyone can just pack up and go to Fuji, so we do what we gotta do. In my case, it’s a tropical soap. Now if only I could drag a lounge chair and Piña Colada into the shower without making a mess.

#10: Fair Trade Foot Lotion by LUSH. Give your feet some loving. I’m talking about your scaly elephant feet, people. Winter is harsh on those puppies! Take off your boots and lather up. Bonus if you lather up before bed then throw a pair of socks on. Lock in the moisture, baby!

So there you have it – your ammo to battle winter skin. What do you have in your arsenal? Gimme your best. xx Bianca
