Golden Milk Recipe Vegan

Golden milk – you heard of it, gf? My Mom was visiting my sister in LA and sent me a photo of a “golden latte”. I was so envious and intrigued, that I got right to it. Okay, so I don’t have an espresso machine but it is probably healthier this way, anyways! The key ingredient to this gorgeous gold in a glass beverage: turmeric.

Oh, beautiful turmeric. You are just bursting at the seams with healthy goodness. In case you weren’t aware of the power of turmeric, let me lay out a few for ya:

  • Natural anti-inflammatory compound
  • Boosts antioxidant capacity of body
  • Anti-depressant
  • Linked to improved brain function and protection
  • Can help fight various cancers
  • May help lower risk of heart disease
  • Can help prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease
  • Anti-aging effects
  • Aids in diabetes management
  • Natural liver detoxifier
  • May aid in fat metabolism
  • Natural painkiller
  • Anti-bacterial

Okay, now that you are totally sold on the health benefits, it’s time to indulge.

Recipe

You will need:

  • 1 cup cashew milk (or nut milk of your choice)
  • 1 tsp powder turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Dash of ginger powder
  • 1 tsp agave

To make:

Add all ingredients to a small pan over medium heat. Stir until everything is well incorporated and heated up. Serve yourself and enjoy the bennies, love. xx bianca
