Hiiiiiii! I’m currently in Seattle with John visiting a friend of his from college. More to come on our trip and all the vegan eats I’ll be scarfing (and you can see it all on Instagram!), but we just got here yesterday and hello, jetlag. This east coast girl is not doing well. B-U-T, let’s move on to my favorites! This week they’re a big mismatch, but aren’t they always?
1. Granola Nut Clusters from Oh She Glows
I made these to have as snacks on the plane. I just stocked up on nuts and seeds so in these I used cashews, pecans, walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, buckwheat, and chia seeds. And lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. Yum. Definitely try the recipe if you haven’t already.
This was never my thing before but something changed deep inside me (#dramatic). Now, I’m all about mismatched pottery all over the place. I’m building up my collection.
3. “Just Kids” by Mat Kearney
I’ve recently rediscovered Mat Kearney. This album came out in February and it’s so good! He’s playing a FREE show in Pittsburgh this summer and I can’t wait.
4. Yes to Coconut Cleansing Wipes
I’m really lazy. I only wash my face in the shower when it’s convenient. Otherwise, I rely on cleansing wipes, but since I have really dry skin, I have a hard time finding any that I like. These are perfect! They don’t leave my skin feeling dry at all and they smell incredible. I’m loving the whole Yes to Coconut line!
5. Tea Carts
I’m soooooo excited to move this summer, and I’ve got a mental list going of all the things I want to do. Thank God John goes along with it. Our new apartment is in such a gorgeous old building in an adorable neighborhood – the story is that it was built as a guest house (it’s three stories!) for the family that lived in the giant mansion across the street. Can you imagine?! I’m dying to do some research and find out more about it. Anyway. You know how lots of people have bar carts or coffee carts? John and I don’t drink coffee, but we drink a ton of tea, so I want to have a little tea cart in the kitchen! I’m looking at painting or staining this cart from Ikea, stocking it with mugs, and electric kettle, and dozens of canisters of tea because we have quite the collection. That stuff takes up so much space in cabinets, and there aren’t a ton of cabinets in the kitchen, so I think it’ll be great to keep them out in the open. I’m pinning some inspiration, so if you stumble across any, send them my way, please!
What are you loving this week? I’d love to hear! xo Sara
