Fresh Fruit Lemonade Pops

Fresh Fruit Lemonade Popsicle Recipe

Fresh fruit and lemonade on a hot summer day is probably the best combination since PB&J in the schoolyard. It’s just as heavenly as it gets, people. And it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t point out how pretty they are. Pretty food makes me happy – as long as it tastes good, too. Thankfully, these are the real deal.

If you have kids, these will be a household staple. And if you don’t have kids, well, they will still be a household staple. Also – warning: there is definitely sugar in these. I know, I want to be healthier too and omit sugar, but have you ever had lemon juice without sugar? Woof. I used raw sugar, but please leave suggestions in the comments. Would love some alternatives for next time! Okay, onto the three recipes…

Let’s start with the basic homemade lemonade recipe that I used:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice

Boil water on stove – add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Allow to cool a bit before adding the fresh lemon juice – stir and taste test until you are satisfied.

Note: You may want to start with less sugar if you are not crazy about sweetness – do what is right for you!

Lemonade and Berries

This one is simple. Slice berries. Add to popsicle mold. Add lemonade. Freeze and be done with it.

Watermelon Lemonade and Berries

This one is an extra step – aka, juicing watermelon. You can use a juicer or simply blend in your Magic Bullet or similar. Add your fresh fruit, and fill it up halfway with lemonade and halfway with watermelon juice. Yummmmm.

Mango Lemonade and Strawberries

Another extra step, but super simple. Blend 1 mango with about 1/4 cup fresh lemonade. Again, add your strawberries then fill popsicle mold to the brim. This one was is sooo good – it has great texture.

Out of all these, the mango lemonade was my favorite. Mango definitely added some natural sweetness that I was looking for. I’m thinking about adding some pineapple juice for sweetness next time, too. But anyways, please send your ideas/suggestions. Totally appreciate it, always :)

Which one are you looking forward to trying? xx bianca
