Beauty Products Not Tested on Animals

#BuyTheBunny: 7 Beauty Products

#BuyTheBunny – that is our theme for the month! Why? Because animal-testing is fucking despicable and unnecessary. Is that a good enough reason for you?

There are a lot of beauty products on the market. The majority of the products that are absolutely in-your-face are tested on animals [READ: TRESemme, Revlon, L’Oreal, Garnier, Almay, Neutrogena, and a ton more]. If you are not aware of the cruelty of animal testing, you may want to educate yourself a bit. If you are, then you know how frustrating it can be to find cruelty-free products! And dammit, you will not give into the companies who DO test! The struggle is real, folks. After searching for and testing a number of brands, I am glad to finally have a number of go-to products. This week, I’d love to share them with you. Get on board with us and #BuyTheBunny!!

#1: BOOMstick Color by Cindy Joseph.

My mom actually introduced me to this stick of amazing. The color is so rich and pretty. It’s universal for eyes, lips, forehead, cheeks… the whole nine. So basically, keep this bad girl in your purse for emergencies.

#2: LipSurgence™ Matte Lip Tint by tarte.

I probably have 15+ sticks of this stuff – from matte to gloss. The colors are gorgeous, and each stick lasts for-ev-er. Tarte is also my favorite cruelty-free line, so moving on to…

#3: Airblush Maracuja Blush by tarte.

These stuff lasts. I really love it! My favorite tint is Shimmering Peach. Again, you cannot go wrong with tarte products. They may seem a little pricey, but worth it.

#4: Essential Volumizing Mascara by e.l.f.

Let me start but just saying that you really cannot go wrong with $2 mascara. This brand is inexpensive, cruelty-free, and at your local Target!

#5: Cherry Blossom Ginseng Shampoo & Conditioner by OGX.

This stuff smells SO SO SO good! It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and feeling really healthy. Paraben, cruelty-free, and affordable!

#6: Visibly Soft Lip Balm by EOS.

This lip balm, though. Aside from the uber cute round case (which makes it oh-so-easy to find in your oh-so-messy bag), it is made with natural ingredients, including jojoba oil. I have probably 6-7 lying around, between home, work, and my purse. The flavors smell AMAZING. I highly recommend the lemon drop and sweet mint!

#7: Amazonian Clay Waterproof 12-hour Concealer by tarte.

You bet your ass I am ending this list with another tarte product. This concealer is the best I’ve ever used – and it lasts me a good 6 months! $22 over a period of 6 months is A BARGAIN! But seriously, it stays put all day. It’s a must-have, ladies.

What are some of your favorite cruelty-free products? I am always looking for recommendations, so please please please feel free to comment if you have a great one. I cannot wait to hear from you all. :)

Oh, and let’s get it trending, people. Share your tips with us on Twitter & tag it #BuyTheBunny to spread the kind word! We’ll be useing the hashtag all month long. xx Bianca

  1. Love this! It’s so frustrating that companies still test on animals, it’s not necessary and it’s just cruel. I love shopping in Lush as it’s nice to be able to pick up everything knowing it’s cruelty free! Will definitely look into the cosmetics you’ve recommended here!
