Acai Berry & Grapefruit Smoothie

Can we all just take a moment to let the beauty and richness of this smoothie sink in? It’s glittering just as much as the gems next to it. I think I have a crush on this one… can you have a crush on food? I think so.

Honestly, the best part of a smoothie for me is not even the drinking it part – it’s mostly me marveling at the gorgeous color. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t add certain ingredients based on my [color]mood. This morning, I was feeling real royal purple, and the acai smoothie pack got the job done. Anyways, this smoothie is packed with antioxidants and yes, even protein. While most people assume that fruit does not have protein, not the case. Acai in particular is a great choice for a post-workout snack. Acai berries contain amino acids, which may help assist in muscle building and repairing.


You will need:

  • 1 Sambazon Acai Smoothie Pack
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • Juice from one grapefruit – pulp is fine, too!
  • Water, for consistency
