The BEST Cruelty-Free Cleaning Products

Best Cruelty-Free Cleaning Products

Yeah, I said best. Okay, so they are the best in my eyes, but still… the best. Sara shared a round-up of her favorite cruelty-free cleaning products a few weeks back, and now it’s my turn. Because as she so awesomely pointed out, we are insane. We’re like two 80-year olds who have nothing better to do than wipe down counters and then walk around smelling the damn house as their scents waft through the air.

Yeah, it’s like that for us. Wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m also in the process of getting rid of any and all products in my home that have been tested on animals. I thought it would be tough, but that has not been the case. I am sooo impressed with all the affordable cruelty-free options out there. And very impressed with Target for carrying A SHIT TON OF THEM!!

CLEANING PRODUCTS RULE.

#1: Method All-Purpose Cleaner – in Sunset Beach. Because 1) it smells fantastic, 2) my counters are spotless and smooth, and 3) look at the pretty label design. It’s just a freaking delight to clean with this product!

#2: Method Dish Soap – in Sunset Beach. You know, to match my all-purpose cleaner. The dish soap is really heavy and a little goes a long way. I love it!

#3: Method Antibac Bathroom Cleaner – in Spearmint. Seriously, I spray everything down with this. It gets the job done, and it smells like spearmint, for Pete’s sake. Way better than all those other crappy bathroom cleaners that just smell like chemicals!!

#4: J.R. Watkins All-Purpose Cleaner – in Coconut. I’m copying Sara on this one because I can’t even try to act like this product isn’t all that and a bag of potato chips. It smells like a tropical getaway in your very own kitchen. If I had to go with my second fav scent, that would be grapefruit! And yeah, I have two different all-purpose cleaners on here because yes, I have both at home, and no, I can’t pick a favorite. I need to have them both.

#5: Mrs. Meyer’s 68 Load Laundry Detergent – in Lavender. I love me some Mrs. Meyer’s anything. This lasts me a while (it’s just Joe and I!) and smells fantastic.

#6: Dr. Bronner’s Castille Liquid Soap – in Peppermint. Talk about a versatile cleaning product. Whether you are cleaning the shower or countertops, this soap is organic, vegan, and smells incredible.

#7: Method Air Freshener – in Wild Poppy. You didn’t think I would end this without one more Method product, did you? LOL My favorite spray to freshen up my place. Plus… again… the cute packaging. Method, you can do no wrong!

If there is anything you should take from this… it’s the fact that there are so many options available for such great prices. Also, I may or may not be in a relationship with Method products.

Share some of your favorites with me, please! xx bianca

  1. Awesome post… I recently posted a blog about cleaning products and the “sun and earth” products on my page.. you should check them out as well, cruelty free and natural organic ingredients :)

    1. Oh nice!! I will need to check it out :-D xx

  2. My favorite cleaning products are the ones I make. Usually with vinegar and essential oils, sometimes Dr Bronners soap, sometimes baking soda.

    1. That’s great! I do use a vinegar, water, and lemon spray :) I need to add some essentials oils… sounds like a great idea! xx

  3. this is super helpful as i will be moving out soon and buying my own products!! my parents have started using method laundry detergent on occasion but are addicted to the tide detergent and whitening pods. do you know of any similar products that are cruelty free?

    1. Hi Lexxie! I’m so glad you found it helpful – you will soon become a cleaning product addict, too ;) It totally happened when I moved out!! I unfortunately do not use the whitening pods, so I am not sure… but brands to check out online for something similar: method, seventh generation (they are awesome!!), mrs. meyers. I feel like these have the best and largest selection! xx

  4. The only cleaning product I haven’t found a suitable natural, cruelty-free replacement for is a toilet bowl cleaner. We’re on well water out here in the boonies and our toilets get a ring around the water line that nothing short of the Clorox takes care of! I’m definitely open to suggestions. I’ve tried Seventh Generation and Ecover and neither of them touched it.

    1. Have you tried Method? I haven’t tried theirs yet… still working through my old one. But I will be and I will keep you posted on it!!

      1. I haven’t. Please let me know if you like it!
