It’s A Girl!

It's A Girl

I’m absolutely bursting at the seams right now. I am NOT good at holding in secrets and this lime-sized one has been absolutely killing me. We’re expecting a daughter in the warm, sunny days of September 2017!

There are no words to express how blessed and thrilled Joe and I are to be able to share this news – it still hasn’t fully hit us, quite honestly. But each day, it becomes a little more real. It’s pure magic.

I’ll be sharing lots of thoughts/tips/experiences throughout the next 6 months leading up to our sunshine baby’s birth. There will still be plenty of recipes, inspiration, and the usual – trust me! I hope you don’t mind the little sprinkling in of pregnancy + baby posts. It’s just too exciting to not share. Plus, I have a whopping “What I’ve Been Eating” coming up for my first trimester. For any future plant-based or vegan mama birds, I hope that will be engaging and interesting!

I also have a beast of a “First Trimester Recap” post in the final stages, which will be posted shortly.

I’m just so excited for this new chapter and journey, and so excited to finally say I am expecting a daughter. I’ve always wanted a daughter!

Minnie is going to be a big sister – lol! And she can totally tell something is up. I wonder if she can hear the heartbeat or sense it? She’s been extra snuggly and all over my stomach. It makes me so happy.

If there is anything in particular you’d like me to cover over the course of my vegan pregnancy, please let me know. I’d love some ideas for the editorial calendar (and definitely have a ton brewing already!)

Thanks for listening and celebrating this with my (growing) family. I’m very excited to share our new world with you. xx bianca

  3. Congrats!! What prenatal vitamins are you taking? I’m finding a hard time finding plant based DHA- I’ve seen a few sites offering it- but wasn’t sure about the quality. Congrats Mama and I definitely look forward to reading about your journey!

    1. Hey Sarah! Thank you so much :)

I actually JUST starting working on a prenatal post! I’ll be sharing all the details there on what I am taking, but for DHA, I have been taking this vegan Spectrum product (linking below). They have no aftertaste and go down very easy (small!) I like them, and my doctor approved :) Keep your eyes peeled for more on prenatals… hoping to wrap it up soon! xx
