Flora and Fauna Baby Names

Flora and Fauna Baby Names

These are my favorite kind of names – names that you find in the natural world. I can remember being in elementary school science class as my teacher discussed flora and fauna. I remember thinking then that I loved the way “flora and fauna” rolled off the tongue. It always stuck with me for some reason, and now here I am writing a blog post with the phrase in the title.

For those of you who may not know, flora means plant life and fauna means animal life. These are two of my favorite things, right? Combine that with baby names and here’s a list that makes my heart siiiing (and very appropriate for the start of summer!) If any of you share the name obsession with me, I hope that you enjoy what I’ve put together. These names are sweet and quirky – perfect for any mama birds out there looking for boho/earthy names inspired by nature.

  1. Love them! Not Flora and Faune names but my kids have nature-y middle names, River, Rain and Sunshine. <3

    1. I love their middles!! River is one of my favorites – it was a front-runner if we had a boy :) xx
