100 Best Forestcore Items in Animal Crossing

Hello Animal Crossing friends!

Forestcore may be one of the most popular, if not the top choice for an Animal Crossing island. I imagine this is because the landscape and story of the game lends itself so well to it. You start on a deserted island with a campsite and a dream… (and debt)… and leaning into that vibe feels easy, peaceful, and right.

As you move through the tasks and begin to collect recipes, materials, and bells, your catalogue slowly begins to grow. You quickly find out how overwhelming it can be to get the right items for builds you are imagining, right?

A good way to keep track of what you want is to keep this list handy. After playing for years, I have found that these items are the very best for a forestcore island. They feel natural, a big rugged, and blend in well with the landscape. I think that is the key to this theme. Everything feels lived in and a part of the natural world.

Furniture

If there is one must-have furniture series, it is the log series. You could even build out a small chopping wood area (see more about that here) to give the illusion that everything you see on this island is built by the locals! Maybe Grizzly or Erik could run that.

I also love the mush items, particularly the mush table for a picnic in the middle of the forest.

The vine chair is super cute but also fits well with the land. I fee the same about the stonework kitchen.

  4. mush table
  5. hanging-vine chair
  6. log bench

  8. log extra-long sofa
  9. stonework kitchen
  10. log round table

More natural textiles here, but particularly love the wood-plank table, which feels a bit more high-end than the log series. Luna’s bed has that same “we crafted this here” vibe.

I think the colorway of the ranch cupboard is really nice and cozy for a home in the middle of the woods.

Don’t overlook the stone series, which could be nice near a stream.

The leaf stool is one of my favorite fall DIYs!

The outdoor folding chair just feels very “camping in the woods.”

General Decor

For the next few sets, these are just general decor items that I feel capture the essence of the great outdoors. Some notable choices are the cave (which adds a really cool element of mystery) and rock/mush items which are another great way to add to the natural landscape aside from flowers and shrubs.

Don’t forget to use fencing, as well, which is a great way to break up areas.

Small Details

Do not sleep on the small details! I think items like this (aside from flowers and weeds) are often forgotten about but they make great decor and really take your build from beautiful to completely lived in and immersive.

Keep in mind that if you are dropping a pinecone, mushroom, or acorn, you need to grab 1 from the bunch and then drop it or else it will drop your entire stash (which you’ll want to save the rest in your storage, of course!)

The bug guide is the pocketbook item that can be obtained through Redd’s raffle on Harv’s Island. You can customize it for the bug guide, which is super nice for this theme! I like to place them on a log bench or stool to look like someone stopped to identify a bug.

The handheld lantern can only be obtained from Nov 1 – Nov 11 during the Lantern Festival special event from Nook’s Shopping app.

Going across the top and then bottom row:

  1. pinecone
