My Girls’ Valentine’s Day Basket

My Girls' Valentine's Day Baskets

I debated even putting together this post, because I am not 100% sure if this is something you guys are into. Is a basket for Valentine’s Day too much? Maybe, but… I really like holidays with kids. My parents always gifted us something small on Valentine’s Day and I can remember always looking forward to it. So we carried this tradition into the lives of our littles and I hope they find it as magical as I did.

Since Fiona is only 3 months, we decided putting everything in one basket this year was best. She really only has a book and hairbrush (for when she’s older) but I didn’t want it to seem like she didn’t get much. The thrill of it will really be for Willow. She’s very into holidays lately and has been chatting my ear off about Valentine’s Day after we watched the Daniel Tiger episode. It’s so sweet. I think this is really going to excite her.

Everything in this basket was inexpensive – the only “big ticket” item was a new book. I bought it new because I am trying to grow their library and sometimes you can’t find all the ones you want thrifted. BUT I did find the other book thrifted and I am very excited about it! Details below.

My Girls' Valentine's Day Baskets
  • Basket – thrifted for $1.50 a while back
  • In My Heart book – $8 on Amazon! I really wanted this for both girls because it does a great job at exploring feelings and emotions.
  • The Lovables in the Kingdom of Self Esteem book – thrifted for $1! It’s an amazing book for self-love.
  • Sticker sheet – $1 at Target Dollar Spot
  • Small stamps – I can’t remember if they were $1 or $3 at Target Dollar Spot, but still cheap and I saved half of them for Easter eggs.
  • Piggy Paint – set of 4 minis for $8 at Walmart (saved 3 for Easter)
  • Justin’s Peanut Butter Cup – $1.35 at Whole Foods
  • Minnie Mouse hairbrushes – $1 each at Dollar Tree
  • Loofah – $1 at Dollar Tree
  • Minnie Mouse container (filled with Annie’s fruit snacks) – I had this from Easter last year.

I was happy to grab a few things that I could also split up for Easter eggs this year, too. So overall, nothing too expensive but I still know she is going to really enjoy and appreciate. Plus, two things they actually needed (the hairbrushes).

So that’s it! I hope you enjoyed. If you like posts like this, let me know in the comments so I can keep up with it. I definitely will be sharing their Easter baskets this year… because it’s one of my favorite things to pull together as a mama! I can’t help it. xo
