Hi friends!
Need ideas for your toddlers for Christmas? I’ve been sharing what we get for our kids for a few years now and it usually goes over well with other mamas. I hope that you find inspiration and maybe something that your own little(s) would love.
This isn’t a post for comparison. I know some people buy more and some buy less. This is just what we are comfortable with this year. We are on a budget and I did my best to stick within it. I try to shop throughout the year as I see deals. It helps break up the cost and also saves us some money. Just a little tip!
I also lean more toward open-ended toys or things that will spark imaginative play. It’s what keeps them busy busy and it is so much fun to watch them dress up, figure out puzzles, make up stories/puppet shows, etc. I love the quote “Play is a child’s work” because it is so true and so amazing to watch.
Anyways, here’s what we got the girls. They pretty much got all the same items to avoid fighting over things… with just one toy that is unique to them. You’ll see below.
If you want to see everything in one spot (including stocking stuffers), I compiled here, too.
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links, which means that I’ll receive a commission if you purchase from this link. This will not change or increase the cost of your purchase. This extra income provides for my family and keeps The Friendly Fig running strong.
Both girls
These two items will be shared between the both of them:
- Tunnel (I found a cheaper one at Target but this one is similar)
- Cake Mixer
Willow (3 YO)
- IKEA Market Basket
- Cowgirl Hat
- Cloth Butterfly Wings
- Baby Doll Bed (this came as a bunkbed but comes apart so that they can share)
- Baby Doll
- Rainbow Pillow (from h&m, but I believe it is out of stock)
- Mr. Potato Head
- Anna Dress-Up
- Nesting Dolls
- Cat Boy suit (this is probably what she will be most excited about)
Fiona (1 YO)
- IKEA Market Basket
- Cowgirl Hat
- Cloth Butterfly Wings
- Baby Doll Bed
- Baby Doll
- Rainbow Pillow
- Mrs. Potato Head (I will put this aside for a bit probably because she is still young but I did want to grab two!)
- Elsa Dress-Up
- Rainbow Stacker
- PJs
Looking at this list now I realize we definitely invested in a lot of dress-up things (a favorite over here). A few relatives are gifting blocks/puzzles/etc. which are also a favorite, but I did not want to be repeating items. I definitely focused more on imaginative play.
However your holidays look this year, I am sure you’ll make magic for your family. Thanks for reading. x
