What I’m Loving Lately vol. 7

What I'm Loving Lately

Hi friends! Back with another loving lately post for ya. We are in full-on spring mode in New England and I am absolutely feeling rejuvenated and refreshed in the best way. Seeing everything in bloom alone makes me so happy. Sitting outside in the morning with the sun on my face while I eat breakfast or just breathe… it does everything for my mood. As someone who struggles with bouts of depression and anxiety, the weather can make things significantly worse but the change of season has helped immensely and I am starting to feel like myself again. I’m sure some of you can relate.

Okay, let’s get into it.

There will be Amazon affiliate links in this post.

~ We invested in an elliptical machine recently. This has been on our mind for a while but we weren’t 100% sure because yes, it is expensive. However… as a couple who really doesn’t like going to gym, we decided it’s time to prioritize ourselves and bite the bullet and go for it. We need to move our bodies and I just wasn’t feeling my best and most active anymore. No regrets! We love it! This is the one we went with and I have no complaints thus far.

~ Fresh cut peonies from my yard are making me happy, as they do year after year. We have 4 peony shrubs now and I can’t get enough. They are so lovely and easy to care for.

~ I am currently reading Silver Elite by Dani Francis – have you heard of it? There is so much buzz surrounding this romantasy book and I can see why. I am about halfway through and I am very much getting Fourth Wing / Divergent vibes. I am really enjoying it so far and intrigued to see how it unfolds.

~ And also on the book front, I finished One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune and it did not disappoint, as usual. She is my favorite summer romance writer, bringing all the coastal/lakeside vibes! I ate it up. Highly recommend you add it to your summer reading TBR.

~ Iced lattes are my favorite this time of year and I found a new lovely flavor combination from a local spot – brown sugar and rosemary! I want to try to recreate it for home… if you have tips on how to get rosemary essence, let me know.

~ I grabbed a pair of these slides from Target during their Memorial Day sale and I immediately went and bought a second pair because they are sooo comfortable. I am going to live in these. They are the perfect warm weather house shoes. I got them in taupe (favorite) and black.

~ And speaking of sandals, I also invested in a new pair of Reefs because I have been a fan of this brand since I was in high school. These can be dressed up or down.

~ Our fam loves container gardening and we recently got everything in order. This year, we planted: mint, basil, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, early girl tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, jalepenos, and romaine lettuce. I also planted a few perennials in pots, including daisies and lilies. I am hoping they do well and come back year after year. OH and I also planted some hyacinth bulbs because they are my favorite flower lately (thanks, Animal Crossing!)

~ It’s farmer’s market season and I could not be happier!!

~ This is very random but has anyone had the Cocojune protein yogurt yet? In pineapple yuzu flavor? Unreal.

~ I am traveling with the girls in June (wish me luck) and needed a small crossbody bag and this one fit the bill. It is very comfortable and chic.

~ Staples are my favorite when it comes to wardrobe and I was updating a few pieces. I love this 2-pack of striped tees. Striped forever.
