There aren’t many hippo villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but we are going to rank them anyways. This one is going to be a little rough for me because I am not a big fan of this species. However, I hope that this is helpful if you are trying to choose who to invite to your island!

#7: Hippeux
He is so pretentious, it is completely off-putting and it’s a big no from me. There is no redemption here, I am afraid. A few fun facts: he has a smug personality, his favorite colors are green and brown, his catchphrase is “natch,” and he has the education hobby.
#6: Harry
Again… just no. I’m sorry if this sounds mean and you love him, but I just really don’t vibe with this design choice. A few fun facts: he has a cranky personality, his favorite colors are green and orange, his catchphrase is “beach bum,” and he has the education hobby.
#5: Biff
He looks really angry. Is his angry? What’s the deal here? The red isn’t helping. A few fun facts: he has a jock personality, his favorite colors are black and blue, his catchphrase is “squirt,” and he has the fitness hobby.
#4: Bitty
Bitty looks like a stuffy grandmother, and not the nice kind of granmother. (I told you, I really am not a fan of the hippos…) A few fun facts: she has a snooty personality, her favorite colors are pink and orange, her catchphrase is “my dear,” and she has the education hobby.
#3. Rocco
Finally by #3 we are in decent territory. I like his coloring! And I like his cranky face. A few fun facts: he has a cranky personality, his favorite colors are yellow and black, his catchphrase is “hippie,” and he has the education hobby.
#2: Bubbles
Of all the hippos, I think Bubbles is the least offensive when it comes to design and I really do like her coloring. The hair is questionable, but overall, I wouldn’t mind having her! A few fun facts: she has a peppy personality, her favorite colors are purple and pink, her catchphrase is “hipster,” and she has the fashion hobby.

Aw Bertha, she is adorable. I love her catchphrase and the fact that she has the education hobby. Overall, I think she’d be cute to have around for a bit! A few fun facts: she has a normal personality, her favorite colors are pink and white, her catchphrase is “bloop,” and she has the education hobby.
