If you are like me, you really love decorating a cozy cottagecore island. There are so many wonderful themes to consider, but this is always the one that I default to. It feels very warm, comforting, and peaceful to escape to an island like this when the real world is loud, fast, and overwhelming. Slow living is a lifestyle that I always yearn for and I think having an island like this is a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the little joys in life.

If you are decorating your island and need item inspiration and ideas, here are 100 of the best items that fit this vibe. I hope that you find the inspiration you need here! I did my best to organize these by type of item/theme.
Furniture
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the ranch furniture when it comes to a cottagecore home. I love the white colorway best, but definitely head to Harv’s Island and talk to Cyrus about customization options. The natural, warm brown, and vintage gray are also really nice.
I always love the patchwork series, as well. I love this country colorway – it feels very soft and earthy.
The horizontal organizer is a recent find for me! (I love that I am still discovering new things after years) I thought the colors were so soft and pretty!
The sloppy bed is always my choice simply because I can’t resist an open book left on the bed. The bookshelf works perfectly on that note, too.

Decor
I have a number of items under this section because there is endless decorative items for a cottagecore style. My very favorite of all time is probably the mushroom wreath because it is simply so stunning and warm.
The 3.0 update boasts a number of new items that fit this vibe, including the pampas grass and the wall-mounted bookshelf. Can you tell that I can’t have enough books? I think the recycled-paper bundled surprises people! You can find this item in your recycle bin (located in Resident Services – always check!) You have to customize it with Cyrus to unlock this version.

A couple more of my favorite wreaths for cottagecore, which is the hyacinth and the tree branch. Both are so simple and sweet. You can never have too many ducks around your ponds and streams, so a decoy duck recipe is going to be at the top of your wishlist.

Don’t sleep on food items when it comes to cottagecore, especially baked goods and soup items. I really love the color and style of the mushroom potage and the simplicity of the plain scones.
The curtain partition can add a warm comforting textile as a window treatment or in front of a makeshift pantry.
One more thing to note is the mom’s candle set which comes via your in-game Mom during the month of March in northern hemi and September in the southern.

The leaf stool is one of my favorite fall DIYs, so keep an eye out for that when the time comes or visit a seasonal treasure island to find it. Another item many people do not know about is the wedding candle set which can be obtained in June when you help Reese and Cyrus with their wedding decorating at Harv’s island. The garden style is so pretty and earthy!
Again, don’t forget to make lots of food recipes because they are so in-line with a warm cozy kitchen. Two of my favorites are the brown-sugar loaf and any of the jarred jams. The berliner is not a recipe that you can make, but one that is obtained during December as a special seasonal item in the Nook’s shopping app.
The book you see here is not the book item but the pockerbook that can be obtained from Redd’s raffle on Harv’s island. I love this one because one, it is a smaller compact size and two, you can carry it around!

Plants
There aren’t enough plants in the world. This was honestly hard to narrow down because you can choose any plant you’d like and it would work for this theme but these are some of my very favorites, especially the new flower planter from the 3.0 update that has so many pretty colorways.
The garden wagon is also a classic for this style.
If you are wondering about the Paradise Planning planter, yes you do need the DLC Happy Home Paradise to unlock this item. It is well worth it because it is quite possibly in my top 10 favorite items ever.
