Hello Animal Crossing friends! You’re in good company here. I obsess over which villagers to add to my themed islands, which led me to creating all the villager lists. So if you’ve landed here, you are all most likely making a bookish / literary themed island. This theme is one of my favorites because I am a book lover myself. We’re talking villagers with glasses, the education hobby, and cozycore vibes. These are truly some of my very favorites in the game. I hope this list helps you to curate your dreamy villager line-up!
These are in no particular order.
#1: Maple

#2: Shep
His glasses over the shaggy bangs are so adorable. He has the education hobby, so he is often reading by the river. I also love when we get a peek at his eyes during dialogue and reactions. #3: Raymond
Those glasses make him look extra bookish. He probably reads mostly non-fiction. A few fun facts: he has a smug personality, his favorite colors are black and gray, his catchphrase is “crisp,” and he has the nature hobby (shocking.. I would picture education).
#4: Alice
Love Alice’s design and her eyes and her ears and her little hairclips and bangs. When I had her, she always had her glasses on with a book out. A few fun facts: she has a normal personality, her favorite colors are red and pink, her catchphrase is “guvnor,” and she has the education hobby.
#5: Molly

Bones is a baby and old soul all wrapped up in one and he is absolutely a classic for a reason. He has a library home his default interior! A few fun facts: he has a lazy personality, his favorite colors are brown and beige, his catchphrase is “yip yip,” and he has the play hobby.
#7: Diana
Diana is as fabulous as they come and more than meets the eye. Because while she doesn’t come off as bookish, she is the most well read and sophisticated girlie on my island. So chic. Nose always in a book. Best dressed. Just put together and amazing. 1000/10 for you, Diana. #8: Fauna

#10: Eloise

He looks academia and studious as hell and my love for him snuck up no me. He is giving ~Giles~ from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I say 1000% yes to that.
