Hi friends!
I thought I’d share some of our favorite toddler products as of lately. What we are using and finding helpful is always shifting as Willow grows. The below are not all necessities. Some things – like the fork/spoon, plates, etc. are… but the toys are just some things that happen to be favorites in our household. Truthfully, so much of this was gifted to Willow over the holidays. We are very fortunate to have friends and family who have gifted her these things.
Maybe you are looking for a gift or trying to find something that your own toddler would enjoy. So here are some ideas and some of the things that we enjoy!
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links, which means that I’ll receive a commission if you purchase from this link. This will not change or increase the cost of your purchase. This extra income provides for my family and keeps The Friendly Fig running strong.
Books. So many books, but some of my favorite ones for her lately are these Disney books that go over colors, shapes, numers, and the ABCs. She really loves the color book. Also this Sesame Street word association book with SO MANY FLAPS. It’s gold. Another hit is any book that has sounds – especially animals.
Shape sorter. This one is a challenge for her but she gets better and better at it. It keeps her busy for quite some time, too.
Xylophone. Aside from me loving this (my husband laughs at me because I am constantly messing with it, lol), Willow loves to bang on this thing.
Animal magnets. Learning animals and their sounds with these babies. She carries around the lion and tiger, no surprise.
Sippy + training cup. She still prefers to use a straw, so her main sippy is this brand, but I have introduced the Munchkin 360 cups. She doesn’t prefer them yet, but getting there.
Character figurines. I swear, she is crazy obsessed with any character figurines. We have these Sesame Street figures and Disney princesses. She carries them everywhere. I will place them in random spots around the house after she goes to bed and she always gets excited when she sees them setup first thing in the morning.
Humidifier. This comes in handy especially lately because it is winter over here and the air is very dry. We use this one every night.
Blanket. Willow has a blankie that she loves – it’s a Lion Guard blanket my sister bought for her. She wraps herself up in it and walks around the house like the queen she is. I couldn’t find the exact one, but something like this.
Fruit basket. She carries this around the house and passes out fruit. So freaking cute. Great for learning.
Catch-all bib. This bib has been on many of our product lists for good reason. It is a lifesaver when it comes to eating and eliminating messes.
Fork and spoon set. She still prefers her hands above all else, but she dabbles with the fork and spoon throughout her meal.
Replay plates. We love these plates so much, so they deserve to be on here. So many fun colors, too.
Smoothie cups. Willow loves smoothies and these cups make it really easy to trust her while she walks around the living room. Easy to clean and the lid goes on very tightly.
Pillow. I started giving Willow a pillow during her naps. She sometimes tosses it out and sometimes uses it. Regardless, this one is so soft and comfortable. The perfect size for her.
Flash cards. I can’t believe how much she loves these flashcards. I bought them as a stocking stuffer and she really took to them. She grabs them off the shelf and has me read through as she points to what she wants me to tell her about. You can literally see the gears turning in her head.
Ball. “Ball! Ball!” That’s all you hear in our house. She loves chasing her ball around and kicking it. So sweet. Pick one, any one. I couldn’t find the one we have on Amazon but it rocks because it lights up as it moves.
Stuffed animal. Willow loves all her stuffed animals and will carry them around under her arms wherever she goes. One of her favorites lately is this adorable Grover that my brother gifted her.
Mess-free coloring. I was more wow’ed by this product than anyone!! All you do is fill the pen with water and it will color a photo.
Stacking rings. So simple but Willow still really likes this toy as she has gotten older. She is always stacking and then taking apart. It holds her concentration.
Booster seat. We have this booster seat that we are starting to use more than her highchair. I think she feels like a big girl in this.
I know there is a lot listed above. Again, most of these are not necessities, but they are definitely be loved and used in our home. Maybe they will be in yours, too. xx bianca
