Ooooooh deeeeeee, it’s holiday book day!! Stocking the shelf with these books made my heart sing. We already read a ton in this house and these Christmas favorites are just another part of why I love to read so much, especially to my children. These are the books that will stay with them (hopefully) as many of them have with me.
If you need any new books to add to your little one’s shelf then maybe one of these will speak to you.
I’ll share Amazon links below but my favorite way to stock up on books is through Book Outlet. Discounted books for the win. You can often get them at least 50% off the usual price. I highly recommend!! The only downside is that they don’t always have everything you want but you can add to your wish list and be notified (if you want!) Anyways. Book Outlet… the best.
Now onto our favorites.

1. Gingerbread Mouse. This little mouse is absolutely darling. After losing her her in a storm, she sets off to find a new one… and it’s better than she could have imagined.
2. The Polar Express. A classic for all ages.
3. Little Blue Truck’s Christmas. We love the Little Blue Truck series and this one is especially cute because it lights up!
4. This Is Christmas. A little chipmunk wonders “what is Christmas?” His mother goes on to show him as they walk through the woods. So cute!
5. Olivia Helps with Christmas. Another favorite series in our home, Olivia is always up to something! This is a sweet one.
6. Bear Stays Up for Christmas. The goal is to keep bear awake for Christmas… sweetness ensues. A beautiful book about friendship and giving.
7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Another classic! It’s just a must-have for all shelves.
8. The Little Reindeer. I grabbed this one after Willow obsessed over The Little Rabbit at Easter time. This one looks just as cute with a little girl who dresses up like a reindeer.
9. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Speaking of Reindeer, no shelf is complete without this story. Claymation version or bust.
10. A Charlie Brown Christmas. Again… a must-have.
11. Corduroy’s Christmas Surprise. Our girls love Corduroy and I found this one thrift… score.
12. If You Take a Mouse to the Movies. We have every book in the “If You Give A…” series and this one is just as charming as the rest.
13. Llama Llama Holiday Drama. Llama Llama always tackling the tough emotions and stages that toddlers go through. We love this one.
14. Christmas Songs. A fun interactive sounds book that plays all the hits.
15. The Night Before Christmas. And least but not least, the sing-songy book that will always get stuck in your head.
