Hi friends! December is coming and I am stocking up big time on all the feel-good holiday romances. I’m not ashamed to admit that romance is my go-to genre. I blame my romantic pisces heart. And to be honest, around this time of year, I really don’t want to pick up anything that is going to make me feel anything but joyful.
If you are the same way, maybe one the below books will spark your interest. I’ll share my reading list as well as books that I’ve read and loved in the past (including one of my very favorite books ever!) Happy reading. x
Books I plan to read:
Always, In December by Emily Stone: I love love stories where the couple continues to meet over the course of time by fate. I am here. for. it. Plus… the cover. <3
Eight Perfect Hours by Lia Louis: Another holiday romance driven by fate.
Meet Me In London by Georgia Toffolo: A pretend engagement that turns into something more. I’m here for it, especially since the blurb says this is perfect for fans of In a Holidaze and One Day in December.
Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey: I have high hopes for this romance because I loved Bailey’s It Happened One Summer so much.
All I Want for Christmas by Joanna Bolouri: This one seems like it’ll be a slow-burn and heartwarming story.
Christmas in Vermont by Anita Hughes: This book takes place at a snowy romantic inn in Vermont. The setting alone makes me want to dive in for the coziness factor.
Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory: This was on my list last year but I never got around to it. I am determined to read it this season because it has great buzz around it.
Books I’ve read that are perfect for the holidays:
The Holiday Swap: Great British Bake Off (MY LOVE) meets Gilmore Girls. So… you cannot go wrong here! Twin sisters trade places (which reminded me of that Netflix movie (The Princess Switch). It’s a feel-good holiday read.
All About Us by Tom Ellen: This was such a sweet and unexpected story with some whimsy. Ben is sold a mysterious watch that takes him back in time. He is confronted with his now-wife and the “one that got away.” Just really beautiful and takes place in December.
The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss: This one was very predictable but just a fun and wintery read.
This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens: This book is perfect to read right before the New Year. It was a bit unexpected but I enjoyed it overall.
In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren: I never have anything bad to say about a Christina Lauren book and this is one of my favorites from them. Mae relives the same day over Christmas break over and over and has to figure out how to break the time loop. Loved this cast of characters!
One Day in December by Josie Silver: And here it is. One of my favorite romance books of all time. One Day in December is so beautiful. It is the ultimate slow burn. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
Mistletoe and Mr. Right: This one is really light and fluffy. It’s not the best book on the list but it is sweet enough for a spot during the holidays.
We Met in December: I wanted this one to be more like One Day in December, but it was very different. Again, this one isn’t my favorite on this list but it has all those holiday vibes so I’m including it.
