Hi friends! Happy November! While a lot of the world gets busy around this time of year, I tend to slow down more. Sure, there is a bit of holiday hustle and bustle but I do my best to protect our peace and vow not to over-schedule us. We have a few fun field trips we will be taking this month and will be putting up our Christmas decorations and tree ASAP. (Who else is a November decorator?) But overall, we will be finishing our first homeschool term and then taking off the month of December to bask in holiday magic and rest. I’m so looking forward to the recharge.
But for today, grab a cup of whatever and join me as I share what I’ve been loving lately. (If you are still enjoying these posts, let me know and I will continue to round them up!)

– I’m reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone with my oldest for the first time and it has been every bit as magical as I always imagined. She begs for one more chapter and I can’t help myself half the time. We have about 4 chapters left and then we will be watching the movie together. We are reading from the illustrated version, which is gorgeous.
– If you need a Christmas romance for the season, I finished All I Want Is You by Falon Ballard and enjoyed it so much!
– I’m back on my cozy weather mocha latte kick. I love having one as an afternoon pick-me-up.
– And speaking of cozy drinks, I have enjoyed the Starbucks pecan crunch oat milk latte more times than I care to admit. 🙈
– After my 3rd blender in about 6 years burned out, I finally caved and bought a Vitamix. This has been on my wish list for almost a decade and I can’t believe I finally have one. Please let this be the end of replacement blenders!! GAME CHANGER.
– I, like most of the world, flew through Nobody Wants This, the Netflix series with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. It was so delightful and smart and charming and everything I love in a romance. If you haven’t watched it yet, add it to your list.
– I was looking for a fun new pair of huggie hoops and grabbed these. I have sensitive ears and they do not bother me at all.
– The kids and I have been big into puzzles and we just grabbed a Christmas one to work on together. They chose it – Christmas kitties for the win.
– I always rave about my favorite face moisturizer, but I am especially loving it now as the temp drops. My skin is prone to breakouts and I can get pretty bad cystic acne in my chin area… but I swear this stuff works miracles. It is not heavy at all and I appreciate it being EWG certified.
– On that same note, I also love this EWG-certified brand for my hair care.
– Claw clips are my go-to for a fast hairstyle these days and I recently upgraded my style with a few new fancy ones. I like this variety pack.
– Stepping onto the back deck and taking a few deep breaths has been a beautiful way to greet the day. I can’t get enough of the crisp, brisk air and I am soaking up every second of it. The foliage is also in its prime right now, which is basically free therapy for this girl.
– Soup szn is upon on and my family has been enjoying this broccoli cheddar recipe the most.
– I’ve been planning out our holiday menus… this is always so fun for me. We stay pretty consistent with tried and true favorites (like this artichoke dip and our favorite trifle recipe), but sometimes I like to add in one new thing to try. This year, we are looking to perfect a vegan NY-style cheesecake. If you have a recipe you recommend, please send a link!
– I gave our Advent calendar a makeover for this year and I am so looking forward to sharing it. Pulling this tradition together for my kids is one of the highlights of the year for me. They appreciate it so much. Would anyone be interested in seeing what I’m including in it?
– And last but not least, this wrapping paper is so pretty. My kids requested a “pink Christmas” this year, from tree to paper… and I am here for it. 🩷
Hi!
I wanted to let you know I do enjoy these very much! I’ve followed you for a while and love your homeschooling and lifestyle posts. I’m trying to become a reader, yet life is busy with being a single mom who homeschools and owns her own business. These posts are always a highlight and I just wanted to say thanks for always inspiring me. :)
Aw, Jess! Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so happy to hear that you enjoy these!! I appreciate you for sticking around. x
