So you want to boost friendship points and collect your villagers’ photos… but you don’t want to risk ruining their home or closet. I know the feeling. That’s why I have spent hours and hours creating villager gift guides and posts like How to Get Villager Photos Fast in ACNH (Tips & Gift Ideas).
Now, I will admit that most of my gift guides do not take furniture into account because I have the DLC Happy Home Paradise (which means that whatever furniture I gift them, it will not affect their home). However, if you have the standard home for your villagers, this is something to be mindful of. Whatever you gift them, may end up being placed in their home (including fish and bugs… oof). If you don’t want that, then it is best to gift items that will not affect their interior, including:
- stacked non-native fruit (bundles of fruit in 10)
- assessed fossils (high value and not displayed in home!)
- high value wall-mounted furniture (they will not place wall decor in their home!)
- food DIY recipes
- stacks of picked flowers
- wreaths (They will display on their front door, which is so fun! Pick a good one!)
- high value wallpaper, rugs, and flooring
I also love to gift clothing in their favorite styles but it is worth noting that they will wear the items and place in their closet for rotation. They will also display inside their home (but some of us don’t mind that because it is way too cute seeing them walk around in adorable fits!)
With all that in mind, I wanted to redesign a collection of my guides with gifts that won’t affect homes for the most popular villagers. These are safe to gift! One for every day of the week!
And don’t forget to always wrap their gift using the wrapping paper in Nook’s Cranny. That always helps.
