200 Indie + Bohemian Baby Names

Indie Bohemian Baby Names

hi friends (especially mama bird friends!)

Some of you who have been keeping up with me probably know that I am a sucker for baby names by now. In the past, I focused on plant-based or earthy baby names… but I am a real sucker for indie/boho-inspired baby names. Some of these may overlap with my past lists, but I think they are worth mentioning again because these names are all just so gorgeous.

With baby fever on my end, I wanted to compile some of my current favorites and hope that they will inspire you. I totally already have my girl name picked out (both first and middle are on this list… can you guess?) but still working on a boy. I’d love to hear some of your favorites from the list – especially any combos! Enjoy the inspiration :)

  1. Soooooo glad to see “River” on the girls’ list! That’s my daughter’s name, and we’re trying to pick a complementary name for her little sister. :)

Rachel – I absolutely love River on a girl! It’s so calming. xx

  2. I love so many of these names! Allegra, Boheme, Daisy, Haven, Indigo, Liv, Luna, Magnolia, Marigold, Moon, River, Snow, and Soleil. Other names I love include Avalon, Aiven, Florence, Freya, Henna, Joss, Juliet, Lydia, Mila, Mira, Primrose, & Vesper.

From your boy names I love Archer, Arrow, August, Bodhi, Cove, Everest, Forest, Fox, Grey, Griffin, Leo, Luca, Phoenix, & River. I also love Asher, Finn/Finnick, Hale, Koa, North, Phoenix, Vance, Vaughn, & Vincent/Vin.

Do you use one or two middles? My brother and I have two so I plan to use two for my kiddos. I’ve had baby fever since we got married in 2012. Thinking about names and pinning nurseries on Pinterest are like therapy!

    1. Lainy – we have the same taste in names, it’s insane! I LOVE Florence, Freya, Juliet, and Mila! For boys, I LOVE Finnick, Noa, and Phoenix!

I am a fan of one middle (probably because we both have one!) but two is lovely when you find the perfect combination. I agree about pinning… I pin nursery ideas ALL DAY. I have already bought a couple things (LOL). We are getting married in October and will definitely be trying shortly after. I am VERY EXCITED!! Would be lovely if we were both expecting at the same time. <3

  3. My daughter’s name is Zen…that should be on the list.

    1. Great addition, Fran!

  4. I heard the names “Heron” and “Jade” for girls that I think would be just right for this type of list.

    1. Those are great additions! xx

    2. Those are great additions – thank you! xx
