Hi friends, mamas, and dadas!
I recently took to IG to see what you guys wanted to hear more about… lots of great topics and ideas. I have added them to my editorial calendar and will hopefully chip away at them in the New Year. One of the things a lot of you said was motherhood posts. I will try my best to sprinkle in more! Today, I thought it would be a fun mom-type post to share what I bought Willow for Christmas this year. You can find her stocking stuffers here, if you are interested.
We didn’t want to go too crazy… but I admit, I may have gone a bit crazier than I initially planned. I couldn’t help myself. BUT, I did my best to grab a lot of the below from thrift shops. I will make a note on each one that came from a thrift spot.Â
I know she is going to get SO MUCH from her grandparents, aunts, uncles, great grandparents… she is a very lucky girl. So I’ve been cleaning through her toy room making sure there’s room for more and we can save some (for next baby) and donate. I find that as I start clearing through, suddenly she is very interested in the toys I am getting rid of, lol! So I do a lot of this during her naps. But anyways, I am rambling.Â
Here is what Willow will be waking up to on Christmas morning!
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links, which means that I’ll receive a commission if you purchase from this link. This will not change or increase the cost of your purchase. This extra income provides for my family and keeps The Friendly Fig running strong.
If I grabbed something from a thrift shop, I will do my best to find on Amazon, in case you are interested. But if there is no link, I apologize!
Foam unicorn chair. I saw this at HomeGoods and couldn’t pass it up. She has a chair like this at my mom’s house and she loooves sitting in it. So now we have one for our house!Â
Here is a similar one I found on Amazon, but try your local HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls. Ours was $24.99.
Mermaid tail “sleeping bag”. Another HomeGoods find that I didn’t plan on grabbing but couldn’t resist. She loves blankets and being cozy cozy while she watches Lion King or Sesame Street. I figured this would go over well and would grow with her. Kinda an impulse buy, but I do not regret it! It is SO SOFT INSIDE.
Here’s a similar one.
Wooden cutting fruit set. I love Melissa and Doug toys and this one is right up our alley. I think she’ll have fun figuring this out. She loves her fruit, after all.
“Willow” puzzle. An Etsy buy! I wanted one personalized gift and thisssss is exactly that I was thinking. Not only adorable and great quality, but it’ll teach her how to spell her own name. LOVE.
I bought from this seller.
Stuffed animals. Girl loves her plush. She carries around her stuffed animals everywhere. Lions are her absolute favorite… she growls at them whenever she sees, lol! This one is incredible soft, floppy, and a great size. When I went to find the link back to him, he is gone! So bummed I couldn’t share this specific one with you, but it is by Aurora. They have this lion, as well. I also grabbed Cookie Monster and an orca (trying to really push the orcas… lol!)
ABC, 123 bath foams. We don’t have many bath toys because they can get pretty grimey, right? But I think these will be fun for her.
Wooden elephant on wheels. Thrift store find! It was… I think $4? So beautiful. I can see her dragging this around the house already.
Wooden shapes/peg board. Thrift store find again. I think it was $3. Well made and a good brain-game for her.
Something similar here.
Wooden puzzle. The wooden animal puzzle was $1 at the thrift store and in original packaging. Sold.
Books. All from the thrift store, ranging from 50 cents to $2 each. She’s going to go crazy for the Disney animal stories book and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse because it makes sounds. She loves her books, so I stocked up. They were sooo inexpensive.
