Hi friends!
I have not done one of these in a reeeeeeal long time. It’s fun to pull together and it’s more casual. I believe posts like this are great for starting a dialogue. I really would love to hear from you guys if you can relate, or even if you can’t. Send me a message on Instagram anytime. x
Schitt’s Creek: If you know, you know. This show is so witty and hysterical and just the most incredible writing. I love these characters SO MUCH. My husband and I have been watching a couple episodes every few days, trying to savor it. I don’t want it to end.
Where the Crawdad’s Sing: This book. I know. I was late to the party but better late than never because it surpassed all my expectations. Gorgeous writing – the setting, the characters… I was completely immersed and couldn’t read fast enough. Definitely in my top 5 of best books I have ever read. I need the movie adaptation YESTERDAY!!
Thermals and thick socks: I’m living in my thermal pajama bottoms lately (from Old Navy). Not groundbreaking or anything but you know, had to mention it because really… I. LIVE. IN. THEM. And thick socks, often layered two at a time. Cozy all winter long.
Jammy oats: Warm berries are my thing this season. I really load up my oats most days and the morning feels complete. Berries are not in season, so we keep the freezer stocked with frozen varieties. Frozen berries are harvested during peak times so they are just as delicious and nutritious.
Winter sunsets: Everyone talks about sunsets in the summer but really, winter sunsets are just as gorgeous, if not more. I have a front row view outside our kitchen window every night and it is something small I look forward to at the end of each day (if you follow me on IG, you probably know this because I am constantly documenting them in my stories).
Magnatiles: Yes, you read correctly. A child’s toy, but really… Magnatiles are so fun. I make time to sit down and play with my kids and these are our favorite lately. So many creative opportunities and imaginative play at its finest. (affiliate link)
Colleen Hoover: She is my favorite author as of lately. Just a beautiful writer. Her books have made my heart ache and break, only to be sewn back up and burst. I would say my top 3 are: November 9, All Your Perfects, and Confess.
Luke Skywalker. If you know, you know. My very first crush. My forever crush, really. Because I screamed. And I cried… a lot of happy tears.
