Hi friends :)
Here’s another motherhood post for ya because this is my life lately. I hope you don’t mind. If you are expecting or just like this kind of stuff for the future, I hope that this one comes in handy. What I store in my diaper caddy.
(Also just a note – I started writing this post and scheduled it out before Willow potty trained. Images below show her diapers in the caddy but she is officially trained – yay! So instead of diapers, we are storing her underwear now. Just for transparency.)
To be honest, before moving into a tri-level house, I never thought twice about having a caddy. With Willow, we lived on a one-level ranch and everything was just down the hall. It was pretty easy to go back and forth and I welcomed the extra exercise. Now with a tri-level home AND a toddler, I wanted to have everything I need wherever I am in the house. So I ended up registering for this caddy and my mama grabbed it for me. I have no complaints – it is sturdy and holds a ton and gets the job done.
Do you need absolutely every item under the sun in your caddy? No, not really. Why add more weight to it when you can store some things in other areas of your home? I keep my caddy filled with the things I KNOW I am going to be using pretty much on the hour. I keep burp cloths, swaddle blankets, and bibs basically draped over every chair on all levels… you know, because those just need to be there at all times.
So my caddy looks like this:
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links, which means that I’ll receive a commission if you purchase from this link. This will not change or increase the cost of your purchase. This extra income provides for my family and keeps The Friendly Fig running strong.
Here’s what’s inside:
- Toddler diapers on one side (and now, underwear)
- Baby diapers on the other
- Wipes
- Extra thick swaddle to change baby on
- Pacifiers – we use this Wubbanub Ducky & BIBS
- Diaper rash cream tub
- Baby powder
- Extra outfit for baby (because blowouts)
- Teething links for distraction
That’s it. Simple simple and I don’t have to dig through unnecessary items to get to what I need.
I hope that this helps when you are putting your own caddy together. I know it won’t look exactly like mine, but you do whatever works best for you and your situation! Thanks for reading.
