Our Baby Product Must-Haves: 6-9 Months

Hi friends! This post is a bit late, since Willow is almost 11 (!!) months now. But better late than never. It was nice to reflect back… because man, 6-9 months… what a fun age! From sitting up unassisted to feeding herself… it’s been such an amazing experience watching my Willow grow leaps and bounds everyday. I know it is so cliche to say all of this, but you can’t help it. It is really a magical time.

So these were our favorite baby products to have during this age range. I’ll be honest – a lot of stuff that I mentioned in my 3-6 month post also applies here, so I will re-mention those items below to be inclusive. I hope it isn’t too repetitive… it is just what continued to work!

Drool Bibs. Featured in the 3-6 month post, but still a necessity – probably more now than ever! Really like this brand – thick, comfortable, and really cute patterns. And a pack of 10!

High chair. Three meals a day means lots of time in her chair, and I have no regrets grabbing this Joovy high chair. It’s chic, lightweight, folds easy, and super easy to clean.

Teethers. We have so many teethers lying around, but our favorite by far are these: Raz-Berry, Sophie, Keys, and Chilled Rings.

Teether clips. These have become a part of her everyday outfit. I usually have her pacifier hanging off her. She’s always grabbing and gnawing at it. I like how these come in a pack of 5, because they get really grimy by end of day. Easy to clean.

Smart Stages Puppy + Blocks. Holy crap, Willow goes nuts over this little dude. She gets so excited by the colors and lights. She also loves gnawing on the blocks… and knocking them down when I stack them.

Fruit feeders. Willow LOVES these things. I usually load it up with banana in the mornings while I am getting ready and she’s just hanging in her walker. She seems to look forward to it every morning! Which brings me to…

Walker. Love this thing – especially since it is Minnie Mouse themed. She sits in it while I am getting my breakfast or lunch… it’s also easy to cart her from room to room when I am cleaning the house. I like opening up to the blank tray so she can play with her toys. Keeps her busy for a good 20 min!

Catch-all bibs. A must for meals – honestly, don’t buy anything that doesn’t have a catcher at the bottom.

Sleepsacks. Another must from 3-4 months and above. We like the Halo brand, as well as the Burt’s Bees Baby Beekeeper.

Books. I think these will always be on my must-have list. Board books are especially awesome these days… she helps turn the pages! We read throughout the day and always Goodnight Moon before bed. Our other favorite is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

Musical toy. This classical music one in particular. I keep this in my diaper bag in case of a meltdown, because it will always cheer her up.

Touch and feel books. Her little fingers feeling the fur… I can’t.

Sippy cups. I always give Willow water with her meals. These sippy straw cups seem to be her favorite. We also have the miracle 360 cups, but she hasn’t taken well to them yet. We’ll keep trying.

Reusable food pouches. She loves her smoothies in these babies. They can be messy – beware. But I just sit close to her and monitor.

Catch-all bibs. These are a must and literally the only type of bibs that gets the job done.

Silicone plate. This silicone whale plate is perfect for her meals.

Sleeved bib. This is our favorite sleeved bib. Things get messy now that Willow has moved on from purées.

Bows. Not an essential, but really love putting her hair in bows everyday now that it is long enough. Headbands can get tossed off, but these stay in. So many colors, too!

Baby carrier. Mentioned in past, but worth mentioning again because this stage was the most I’ve ever used. Whether we are taking a walk around the neighborhood, shopping, or I am just preparing dinner, this girl loves being in the ergobaby carrier. It is so comfortable for me, too. I wear her at least once a day (if not more!)

Standing Activity Center. Willow started to crawl at 8 months and then immediately went to standing/walking and holding onto anything and everything. She loves standing and playing with this! She’ll also watch her favorite TV shows while just standing at it.

I know not all of these are essential, but for us, they were during this time period. Maybe they will be for you, too!
