Good morning, friends :)
Raise your hand if you are a turmeric lover like me? Beautiful golden color aside, turmeric is one of the most beautiful spices to ever come from this ever-giving earth. I’ve blabbed about it a thousand times on here – from turmeric soup to golden milk and lattes (you can find a list of its amazing benefits in that last link). This time, I’m saying “all hail turmeric” for its cold and flu-prevention benefits.
good morning :)
Let’s talk coffee. I never wanted anything to do with coffee until sophomore year of college. Surprisingly, it wasn’t because I was too tired or pulling all-nighters… it was because sipping coffee in a lecture hall somehow made the class go by faster. Maybe it’s because I had something else to do aside from listen? I have no idea, but… it helped. I would grab my iced blueberry at Bagelz on campus and be good to go.
Since then, I’ve become a coffee feen. My favorite thing to do on a Saturday morning is grab coffee with Joe at our favorite shop and walk around town. It’s perfect. I mean… look…
Nothing better than a tall glass of green juice to kick off the day! Okay, I get that green juice may not be the most appetizing drink on the planet, but why knock it if you haven’t tried it? You can reap the benefits of fruits and veggies without having to actually chew them, making it great for individuals who have a hard time meeting their daily intake requirements, or those are on the move. So dust off the old juicer sitting in the back of the pantry, and let’s go green.
Yeah, you know exactly what I’m referencing. No matter how old I get, Mean Girls will always, always, always have a special place in my heart. So, back to the point of this post! I kicked off my Wednesday by drinking pink. Seriously, one of the best smoothie concoctions I have ever made. Not only will it fill you up, but it will have you quoting Mean Girls for the rest of your day. Not bad for a Wednesday, huh?
