Homeschool Book Haul: Caterpillar/Butterfly Theme

Homeschool Book Haul: Caterpillar/Butterfly Theme

We’re kicking off this month with a caterpillar & butterfly unit! I’ve been looking forward to this one all year. I think we may try raising our own monarchs, too.

We’ll be reading up on these babies before we do, so here are the books I am grabbing.

We get the majority of our books from the library, but if you prefer to buy, I highly recommend checking Book Outlet before you buy on Amazon because their books are often times 40-70% off the retail price. They don’t always have what you are looking for in stock, but worth a visit to see!

Here is the full list of themes we have for our preschool year, if you are interested.

For our caterpillar/butterfly theme, we will be reading:

  • A Butterfly’s Life Cycle
  • A Butterfly Is Patient
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar
  • National Geographic: Flutter, Butterfly!
  • Butterfly Park
  • Monarch Butterfly
  • Monarch Butterfly: Explore the Life Journey of One of the Winged Wonders of the World
  • Where Butterflies Grow
  • Hello, Little One
  • Martha Milkweed Has No Friends
  • Some Bugs
  • Caterpillar Dreams
