Plant-Based Toddler Meal Prep Ideas

Hi friends :)

I posted an Instagram story a while back with some of my toddler meal prep for the weekend and a lot of you messaged me asking for more ideas, so I wanted to actually write a post dedicated to this. I do the majority of my toddler’s meals/sides/etc. on the weekend so we are ready to roll during the week.

I tend to prep for breakfast, lunch, and snacks only. Willow eats dinners with us and has whatever I end up making that day. I hope that you’ll incorporate a couple of these into your own toddler meal prep. None of these are too complicated and only take an hour or so of your time.

I don’t make all of these at once (obviously) but usually a handful to get us by.


  • Overnight oats
  • Chia seed pudding
  • Fries – white or sweet (sliced, tossed with olive oil, seasoned with garlic powder, salt and pepper, and roasted at 400 F for 30-40 minutes)
  • Muffins – any recipe!
  • Roasted chickpeas (tossed with olive oil and seasoned with nutritional yeast, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, roasted at 400 F for about 30 minutes)
  • Applesauce (5-6 apples cubed and simmering in a pot with juice from 1 lemon, 1 orange, a bit of coconut sugar, and cinnamon for about 20 minutes)
  • Greens and beans
  • Lentil soup
  • Pancakes – make large batch then freeze extra
  • Steamed baby carrots
  • Cooked pasta (just add a little olive oil when storing to avoid it sticking together – easy to toss with marinara sauce)
  • Stewed berries (I add this to oats or yogurt)
  • Cooked rice (or grain of your choice)
  • Slow-cooked beans
  • Yogurt bites (I just dollop some plant-based yogurt on a lined sheet pan and freeze small bites for a quick snack)
