Get your Green Goddess vibes on, woman. It’s Sunday, and it’s your time to glow. This green smoothie is one of my favorites.
Oh, and I’ll school you on the health benefits of grape fruit + avocado towards the end.
You will need:
- 1/2 grapefruit, juice and flesh
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 banana
- 1 handful spinach
- Water as needed, for consistency preference
Blend it up, drink it down. Grapefruit is the special ingredient here. Aside from boosting your immune system and a plethora of other health benefits, grape fruit is great for your skin. Grapefruit can help your body flush out toxins and waste from all your cells, which will lead to better skin. You’ll be glowing from the inside, out.
Oh, and did you know that when you eat grapefruit and avocado together, their awesomeness improves? Grapefruit actually aids in the absorption of avocado’s benefits inside your body. Oh, and the other way around, too. Grapefruit is full of lycopene, which is better absorbed when the avocado’s healthy fats are there to help.
