Feeding a Plant-Based Baby: What Willow Eats (10-11 months)
Hey there, mamas.
Just another round-up of what my plant-based babe is eating these days. I am still cutting things up pretty small for her (bite-sized pieces) but we’re getting there. She eats anything under the sun now (pretty much) as long as it is bite-sized for her.
Some of her favorites these days: homemade pizza with cashew cheese (oh my, she goes nuts), pancakes, black beans, guacamole, watermelon, vegan shepherd’s pie, cashew/nooch mac and cheese, and blueberries.
I’ve tried introducing the spoon/fork during meals at times… still not into it that much, but sometimes she will grab the spoon and feed herself once I load it up. Progress! She’s also still drinking milk, about 5 oz 4 times a day. We’ve transitioned to sippy cups during the day and still a bottle before bed. She’s growing up too fast! I am holding on to that last bottle more than she is, haha!
I hope the below gives you some inspiration for your plant-based/vegan babe.
