Plant-Based Yogurt Melts

Plant-Based Yogurt Melts

Good morning, friends :)

I shared this post on my Instagram and bit back and so many of you loved it that I wanted to give it a proper home on the blog.

Vegan yogurt melts for kids! I mean come on, yogurt melts are soooo good but they never have them for plant-based kiddos. But the thing is, they are so easy and quick to make yourself at home. All you need is your preferred non-dairy yogurt, a syringe, and a sheet pan. That’s that.

Yes, I use a Tylenol syringe. Sounds weird and if you don’t have one, just any old syringe or piping tool will do but I figured why throw it out when I could get some use out of it, lol. I washed it very well, of course. So here’s the easy instructions.

You will need:

  • Non-dairy yogurt of your choice
  • Syringe or piping tool
  • Non-stick surface (I use foil or parchment paper)
  • Sheet pan (make sure it fits in your freezer first)

To make:

  • Prep your sheet pan with a non-stick surface.
  • Fill syringe/piping tool with yogurt and dollop onto your prepped sheet.
  • Freezer for at least an hour.
  • Peel off and store in an air-tight container in the freezer.

Sometimes I get fancy and will stir some almond or peanut butter into non-dairy vanilla yogurt for a protein boost. Or I will add some sprinkles or chia seeds to the top. Or some unsweetened cocoa powder for chocolate bits. You do you. You know what your kid likes.

Whatever you choose, I am 100% certain that these are going to be a hit. My daughter loves them. And it is just another way to serve yogurt because it can get pretty boring sometimes.

I hope you give it a try. And if you don’t have kids? No problem because they are just as awesome of a snack for adults, too. x
