Happy Monday, friends! Wow, what a weekend. I thought I was nesting before… but it reached a whole new level during week 37. Joe and I both cleaned from top to bottom on Saturday (he even organized outdoor equipment and did yard work). I watched a ton of YouTube cleaning videos for inspiration and motivation – I find that it always helps (one of my favorites here). As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve also been dealing with some pregnancy insomnia and was up at 3AM on Sunday. I could not get back to sleep for the life of me, so I got up and reorganized the entire bathroom and all the closets in our house. I even ventured into the basement and put together a stockpile of things to get rid of to reduce clutter. I feel crazy, but it was so satisfying.
Aside from the crazy cleaning, we’ve also been stocking up slowly each week on pantry and household items to avoid running out of things anytime soon in the near future. I know I’ll want to be cozy at home with baby for a bit without having to run to the store. I mean sure, we may not get everything and will have to go out for a few things, but so much can be bought in bulk beforehand.
We have a ton of shelving space in our basement, which we designated to lots of extra canned good, paper goods, etc. I feel really good about it! Hey, anything that gives you extra peace of mind before such a huge life change, right?
So anyways, I thought I’d share our list of items that we stocked up on. Maybe it’ll help you in the future or now – whichever! Could serve as some inspiration.
For pantry items, I grabbed a ton of things that I know will be easy for me to grab or make meals with. I’ll be sending Joe out for my fresh veggies and fruit each week, but with a lot of the basics at my fingertips, I’ll be ready to roll with some crock pot meals. Oh, there will be a tooooooon of those.

So there it is – an extensive list of items we stocked up on. It may seem excessive, I know, but it makes me feel better knowing that we have this stuff ready to roll for a bit. Plus, we have a BJ’s membership which makes a lot of this stuff super cheap in the long run. I’m going  to be soaking up every second and know I won’t want to be bothered with a lot of this!
Anything else you can think of that I may want to stock up on before she arrives? Share your thoughts in the comments! xx bianca
Wow you are more than ready! But trust me after being home with the baby a good 2 weeks you will want to load her up and get out of the house lol hopefully the weather stays nice. 💗💗💗
Haha! I can believe that. I am so nervous about that first public outing!! But I think the park or Nana’s house would be perfect. We usually have great weather in October here, so I am very excited about that. Stroller is already loaded in the trunk, lol! xx
Great list! I have a stockpile and it gives me peace of mind to always be prepared. Some additional ideas of things to stock up on – chia, flax, maca, quinoa, bulgur, farro, soba noodles, vitamins and first aid kit supplies (we can never have too many bandaids in my house).
Hi Kate – thanks so much for the ideas! Especially the vitamins, flax, and first aid. xx
