5 Ways to Dress Up Vegan Yogurt

Vegan Yogurt Ideas

Good morning, friends! Let’s talk about one of my favorite go-to breakfast options: dairy-free yogurt!

Sure, you can eat yogurt straight from the cup when you are busy and on the move, but I prefer dressing mine up to give it a bit more substance when I have the time and energy. It doesn’t have to be a boring breakfast food (and it shouldn’t). I’m always coming up with new ways to fancy up my favorites. Here are a few options for inspiration.

1: Vanilla Coconut Yogurt – Strawberries, Walnuts, Granola, PB + Chocolate Sauce

You can’t go wrong with vanilla – it’s a classic and it pairs with everything. This one is made with strawberries, walnuts, granola, peanut butter, and a chocolate sauce I made. You can make it quickly with just 1 tbs cocoa powder and some maple syrup. Mix well until sauce is formed (or more or less depending on consistency you’d like) and enjoy!

2: Vanilla Cashew Yogurt – PB, Banana + Granola

This vanilla cashew yogurt is made by Forager (called Cashewgurt) and it actually felt like dessert to me (especially how I dressed it up). Not a bad way to start my day. I loaded this one up with granola, banana, and a couple tablespoons of peanut butter.

3: Vanilla Coconut Yogurt – Strawbs, Kiwi, Coconut, PB + Maple Syrup

Pregnant Vegan Meals - Second Trimester
This vanilla yogurt is by SoDelicious (coconut base). I slightly prefer Cashewgurt, but they are both strong contenders when it comes to non-dairy yogurt. I dressed this bowl up with strawberry, kiwi, coconut chips, peanut butter, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

4: Lemon Cashew Yogurt – Banana, Blueberry, Granola + Maple Syrup

Lemon is one of my all-time favorite yogurt flavors. This one by Forager (Cashewgurt) reminds me of lemon meringue and has a great, creamy consistency. I paired this bowl with pecan granola, bananas, and frozen blueberries. Drizzled with maple syrup.

4: Layered with Warm Cinnamon Apples and Oats

Prepare oats according to package and cook down some apples with a little maple syrup and cinnamon. Layer up for a quick parfait.

Of course, if you really are strapped for time or just don’t feel like making breakfast a huge ordeal, you could simply top with some granola, cereal, or nuts. I love sliced almonds or pecans mixed with mine. Even a few chocolate chips or cacao nibs thrown in can take your yogurt game up a notch. Whatever you have hanging out in your pantry that is sweet or nutty, it’s probably fair game. x
